What Conceals Creativity?
The heavens are fair, and the creativity we possess is equal. Imagine a person covered in mud from head to toe, but if you wash away the mud, deep inside they are just like you and me. So, what does the mud represent? It symbolizes our "twisted thinking." For example:
I'm not an artist, so why do I need creativity?
Randomly piecing together other people's ideas is considered creation!
It's better to be average and avoid standing out.
It's easier to succeed by riding on the shoulders of giants.
Why do I need creativity to make a living?
Creativity is elusive and untouchable, so it's better to keep a distance.
Knowledge is more important than wisdom, not to mention the intangible creativity.
It's more cost-effective to copy than to create. No one will notice.
There's nothing new under the sun, everything is just a copy! Where is the creativity?
Creativity belongs to the humanities, like art, literature, and music, not the core subjects.
What do you even learn for creativity? It's too abstract.
Opening new paths doesn't guarantee success. Let others pave the way first, then observe and adapt to the changes.
I don't have the talent for creation. I was terrible at drawing as a child.
My job doesn't require creativity, so I can't utilize it.
During my education, obedience, following rules, and shallow understanding were emphasized. Exam results were prioritized.
Both my parents are conformists, and I didn't inherit their creativity.
People around me advise against pursuing creative endeavors because they don't provide enough income to sustain oneself.
I just need to make slight modifications to others' creations and pass them off as my own.
Creativity is innate and doesn't require learning.
People with creativity are all peculiar and unconventional.
Gradually, you deceived yourself. When you were a child, you hadn't been tainted by mud yet, so your world was full of imagination, and you bravely experimented. As you grew older, you accumulated more twisted thinking, but you never reflected on it. You followed the crowd without questioning, unable to distinguish between excuses and truths.
As they say, habits become natural. You are the one covered in mud, going about your daily routine. Until one day, a small piece of the mud on you peels away due to a fortunate encounter, and you begin to feel your "unique flavor" and suddenly brighten up.
That's when your life truly unfolds.
Love. David
