什么是领袖?有影响力的,有人愿意跟随的,有服务心态的。
什么是设计思想领袖?某人的设计不是反应性的,是经过自我质疑的,有市场引领性的。某人的演说不是自我的表现,而是充满同理,对观众的关注一针见血的。某人不是知识领袖,是思想领袖。前者是一本“字典”,丰富但没生命,后者是智慧的“熔炉”,随时被他的火舌燃点你的灵魂。某人更不是设计领袖。
还有吗?
有。某人的付出不是为了自身的好处。他为别人赋能是出于使命,出于天赋。问他为什么的时候,他会回答说:“管他妈的。”
哪。。。谁不是设计思想领袖?
没有远见的。
不顾全大局的。
随波逐流的。
过快反应而非气闲回应的。
分析的而非创作的。
聪明的而非智慧的。
“自我氢气球”过大而离地的。
酷爱领功的。
难以沟通的。
问题主导的。
口不对心的。
不寻求前馈的。
经常说“但是”、“不可能“、“希望”和“尽量”的。
不懂与自己相处的。还有...
并非每一个设计师都需要演化成设计思想领袖。人们都各有使命,各有天赋,各有其位。据统计,中国约有1700万个设计师,只要出现4%的思想领袖有能者,已有68万人。
为什么设计师需要设计思想领袖的引领?因为设计师需要有人为他们搭建一个完全能发挥自己潜能的舞台。而搭建舞台、赋能设计师、理解他们的创思乱想的角色,正是设计思想领袖热衷从事的工作。然而,他们并非负责在台上表演。你对拥有这种服务心态的人感到奇怪吗?但是...嘿,你是其中之一吗?
设计思想领袖又是怎样的?
要发现大部分人们不敢、不懂、不想、不能说的话,但又有必要说的。你去说。
要有逆向直觉思维的能力,对牢不可破的人生、工作或社会真理,问:“如果...会怎样?”
设计能发人深醒的,有影响力的,伴随灵魂有故事的,是生于你的“临在”和创造的。缺一不可。
有成长的心态,不反馈,要前馈。你的进步定位明确而清晰的。不会阻碍别人进步。
相信为人服务重于一切。不吝啬所学到的一切,并义无反顾地倾盘而出,不保留。因为你根本不懂保留。要服务到位,再金钱到账,天经地义。
强劲的自我行动力和自我问责。推动力来自于自我进步的激情,无它的。
能忍受无底的孤独。懂得寻找资源为伴。相信自身的创造力已足够的强大去化解问题。
做到“口心一致”。如果连自己也欺骗,你可以相信下一秒你接受到的信息不是来自于你的欺骗吗?先不说你身边被你欺骗的人。爱讨好别人的要小心。
别人都愿意跟随的,不是因为了名利,而是未来寻求启发,开悟。
我告诉你,以上的90%都不是能学习回来的。技能培训、角色演练、用功勤奋都只能填补那10%。怎么办?不用顾虑,因为你还有更重要的角色去实践使命。所谓“条条大道通罗马”,我自小就被这样教导。即是说,没有选择错误的可能,最后我们都会在罗马相见。后会有期!
What is a leader? Someone who has influence, people who are willing to follow and has a service-oriented mindset.
What is a design thought leader? Someone whose design is not reactive but has been questioned, leading the market. Someone whose speeches are not self-centered but full of empathy, directly addressing the audience's concerns. Someone who is not a knowledge leader but a thought leader. The former is like a "dictionary," rich but lifeless, while the latter is a wise "forge" that can ignite your soul at any moment with its fiery tongue. Someone who is definitely not a design leader.
Is there more?
Yes. Someone's efforts are not for their own benefit. Empowering others is driven by a sense of mission and natural talent. When asked why, they would answer, "Who cares?"
So, who is not a design thought leader?
Those without foresight.
Those who neglect the bigger picture.
Those who go with the flow.
Those who react too quickly instead of providing thoughtful responses.
Those who analyse rather than create.
Those who are clever but not wise.
Those whose "Ego Balloon" keeps them disconnected from reality.
Those who love taking credit.
Those who are difficult to communicate with.
Those who are problem-driven.
Those who speak insincerely.
Those who do not seek feedback.
Those who frequently use words like "but," "impossible," "hope," and "try."
Those who do not understand how to coexist with themselves. And more...
Not every designer needs to evolve into a design thought leader. Everyone has their own mission, natural talents, and place. According to statistics, there are approximately 17 million designers in China, and if only 4% of them become capable thought leaders, that would be 680,000 individuals.
Why do designers need the guidance of design thought leaders? Because designers need someone to create a stage for them to unleash their potential fully. And the role of design thought leaders, who build the stage, empower designers and understand their creative chaos, is the work they passionately pursue. However, they are not the performers on the stage. Does it surprise you to encounter individuals with such a service-oriented mindset? But...hey, are you one of them?
So, what does a design thought leader look like?
They discover what most people dare not, do not understand, and do not want to say but need to be said. You go ahead and say it.
They can reverse intuitive thinking and question unbreakable truths about life, work, or society, asking, "What if...?"
Design that can awaken people, has influence, and is accompanied by a story that touches the soul is born from your presence and creativity. All are essential.
They have a growth mindset, seek feedback, and provide forward-looking guidance. Your personal progress is clear and well-defined, and it does not hinder the progress of others.
They believe that serving others is paramount. They are not stingy with what they have learned and give it all without hesitation. Receiving money naturally follows, as it should.
They have strong self-motivation and hold themselves accountable. Their driving force comes from the passion for personal growth, nothing else.
They can endure profound solitude. They know how to seek resources as companions. They believe their creativity is powerful enough to solve problems.
They achieve "alignment of words and thoughts." If you deceive yourself, can you trust the information you receive in the next second is not a result of your deception? Not to mention the people around you who you deceive. Be cautious of seeking approval from others.
Others willingly follow them not for fame and fortune but to seek inspiration and enlightenment for the future.
Let me tell you, 90% of the above cannot be learned. Skills training, role-playing, and diligent effort can only fill that 10%. What to do? Don't worry; you have a more important role in fulfilling your mission. As the saying goes, "All roads lead to Rome." I have been taught this since I was young.
