经验警戒线
Every time I pass by the narrow road of the Tai Tam Reservoir in Hong Kong, I am captivated by the strong contrast of the two sides - the left is full of water, and the right is an empty valley. 33 years of design work has accumulated a wealth of experience, from successes and failures, criticism and honor, like the water on the left, full to the brim and almost overflowing. Do you know? When the water storage reaches the 70% warning line, it needs to be discharged back to the sea.
Do experiences have a warning line? I do. And I need to discharge every year through lectures, forums and teaching. Otherwise, I will start to feel uncomfortable and need to deal with it. Do you have one too? I think so, you may be using other methods to discharge it; such as through art creation, high-frequency exercises, bad habits, insomnia, sudden emotional outbursts, etc.
What can be called experience, what can be remembered by you, must have touched your emotions and senses, like a hot "energy" surrounding you. Imagine your smartphone, if it doesn't have an automatic power off device, it will overheat and burn, and the consequences are serious.
Being a coach is like a continuous discharge device, which can flow the stored water to those in need and give yourself an inexhaustible creative power. Coaching is a very effective energy conversion system, igniting others' creativity and fully utilizing one's own resources.
That energy never stops. As long as we are aware of the existence of the experience warning line, we can begin to manage it.
每一次经过香港大谭水塘的那条窄窄的路，都给那个左右强烈对比的画面所吸引 - 左边是满满的水，右边是空空的山谷。33年的设计工作累积了满满的经验，不论是成功的、失败的、给人痛骂的或是荣誉满载的，就如水塘左面的水塘一样，满得快要溢出来。你知道吗？当储水达到70%的警戒线的时候就需要排洪，流回大海。
经验有警戒线吗？我是有的。还要每年去排洪 - 去给讲座、论坛和讲课。否则，我会开始感觉浑身不对劲，要去处理一下。你们也有吗？我看不会没有的，只是用了其它方法去排洪罢了。比如说，通过艺术创作、高频运动、不良的习惯、失眠、突然间的情绪爆发等等。
能称得上经验，能被你们记着，都必定曾触动过你们的情绪和感官，像是一股热腾腾的“能量”在环绕你们。就如你的智能电话如果没有自动断电装置，都会过热焚烧一样，后果严重。
当上了教练就如一个持续的排洪装置，能把储水流给有需要的人及给自己的不竭创作动力。教练是很好的能量转化系统，去燃点他人的创意，充分地发挥自我的资源。
那股能量永不停摆。只要我们能意识那条经验警戒线的存在，才有开始管控它的能力。
