For four decades, I've nurtured the ritual of capturing my daily sparks of inspiration through writing and drawing. Each fragment is carefully preserved until the day they coalesce, forming a radiant, complete mosaic. If you revel in reading, rest assured—I stand as your steadfast ally, guiding you towards the moment when your own masterpiece unfolds before you.
The Five Lessons Missing In China Design
About the book
I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the two editors at Tsinghua University Press, Ms. Wang Lin and Mr. Sun Moqing, for their invaluable insights and unwavering encouragement. I am also deeply grateful for the constant support from my family, without which this book would not have been possible.
The genesis of this book stems from my extensive conversations and interactions with 15,000 designers, clients, life mentors, and design students, each encounter imbuing me with inspiration. I firmly believe that to effect visible change, we must first alter what lies beneath the surface. This book transcends being a mere compilation of my work or discussing visible design 'skillset.' It delves into the intangible realm of design 'mindset,' exploring concepts such as embracing ambiguity in the design process, continual learning and growth, feedback reception, and empowering others. These elements are pivotal for the sustainable evolution of businesses.

This opportunity has allowed me to connect with this esteemed institution.
